Those of you that know my wife and I you know that we fully believe in Favor finding you if you do things right and live a life above reproach. I am sharing this so you can share in our blessing. To make a long story short; we were given a car for Christmas from a Pastor friend of mine in Akron. He called me on Christmas Eve morning and told me that he had a dream about me and asked how everything was.
I told him that all was good except the fact that both mine and Misty's cars were broken down and we were driving my father-in-laws van. He told me to keep the faith and said he would talk to me later. That was at 8:40; at 8:45 he called me back and told me that he wanted to give me a 2000 Volkswagon Beetle. GOD IS SO FAITHFUL.
If you are in a situation and think there is no way out remember what Paul told us in Revelation; "... we overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. "
Be Blessed Everyone.

Staying Focused Through The Storms
One of my favorite characters in the Bible was probably the most disfunctional but was also the senior pastor of the first church ever formed. I am, of course, speaking about Simon Peter. What I like about this mighty man of God is the fact that he was a very emotional man and his fuse was very short. The thing that intrigues me about Peter is, reading from scripture, he was the most disfunctional of the entire apostles. Yet he was the one that God chose to reveal His power through.
The story of Jesus walking on water in the book of Matthew is one of my all time favorites simply because it's a story that shows no matter what or who you are God will still use you. To refresh your minds its the story of all of the apostles out fishing and they see what looks like a ghost on the water. Immediately fear grips their hearts and they don't know what to do. Jesus says (Adam's paraphrase :0) "Fear Not For It Is I." The fearless Peter says "Lord if it's you bid me to come."
All Jesus says to Peter is "Come." Peter takes that step of faith that we are all afraid to take and drapes one leg over the side of the boat and he puts his feet on water that is a solid as the streets you and I drive our car on. I am sure that fear tried to creep in but at this point I believe that Peter was so excited he didn't care about fear. Think about it for a moment; the disciples were probably 3-4 miles from the shore. Peter knew the water wasn't shallow but the fear of the unknown didn't keep him from stepping out and showing the other disciples who Jesus really was.
The thing that is so awesome about this story is the fact that Peter didn't walk on the water but he walked on the word "COME." He was okay as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus, the moment his carnal mind realized that he was walking on water he began to sink. All Jesus did was reach out His hand and pick him up from the water. Peter was one step away from breakthrough and he looked at the storm he was in and began to sink.
Are you in a storm this morning? Stay focused on Jesus listen for the word and take that step of faith and walk in the invisible and watch what God is going to do.

First Thanksgiving As A Daddy
Yesterday Misty, Paige and I celebrated our first Thanksgiving as a family. It was a day that was filled with thanks and bliss. As we sat around the table yesterday I began to think of all of the things that I am thankful for this year. Here are some of the things that I am grateful for this year.
- Misty (to a beautiful wife and wonderful mother)
- Paige (to a beautiful girl and wonderful daughter)
- My family (a wonderful support system that has been there for Misty and I in the good and the bad)
- My health
- My job
- My walk with God (over the past two years I have learned and experienced that it doesn't matter who you preach for but it's who you are in the Lord that will determine where you will go in God)
- My home
- My friends
I also wanted to let everyone know that Paige rolled over for the first time on Sunday night. As much as I hate it I understand that she is growing up and before I know it she will be walking and talking and being the center of Misty and I's world. I also was able to make her laugh for the first time and it was an amazing feeling.

Potential
"Your Potential Will Never Exceed Your Vision."
I came across that quote today while I was in a clients office and it has stuck with me all day long. It's an amazing and thought provoking idea, and it's so true. As I sit here and type this I am reminded of a story Dr. Creflo Dollar told when he was starting his church.
At the time they were meeting in a high school cafeteria and they only had eight people. Week in and week out he was only setting out the number of chairs for people that were normally there. Dr. Dollar was praying that God would increase his church. God told him to put out all of the chairs that were available. He said that He would only increase the church based on his faith. God then told Him to set some people in position to be the usher's God again told Dr. Dollar that if He needed the usher's to help the people.
Now numerous years later he has a church of 20,000 (+) in College Hill, GA. I had the opportunity of attending the church about 8 years ago when I was in GA on vacation with my parents. The church is a church of excellence.
So in closing let me remind you that "Your Potential Will Never Exceed Your Vision." Is there anything to difficult for God? Thanks For Reading, and have a blessed Thanksgiving.

An Amazing Thought
"When You Walk Your Talk, People Listen" - German Proverb
I received this message today from a sales site (www.justsell.com) taylor made for people in the sales industry. I have been a subscriber now for close to a year and I have received quotes on a daily basis; some are good, some aren't, and then there is the one that I typed at the beginning of this message. I know that it's for sales people mostly but it's a very powerful point. I have always tried to be a person that stood by my word and I try to conduct my business like that. My mother told me something that her father (Papa) told her growing up and I try to live by it on a daily basis. He told her; "Show Me Who Your Friends Are and I Will Tell You Who You Are."
That is a very powerful statement, if you are around people and work with people that don't walk their talk what does that make you? Think about and try to conduct your business in a way that people will want to work with.

Joys Of Fatherhood

August 6th 2006 was the day that my beautiful baby girl came into this world. When my wife and I found out she was pregnant it was on December 23rd (the best Christmas gift ever) I was flooded with emotions. We were at our pastor's house sledding and Misty told him to be careful because she "had a bun in the oven." Little did we know that it was true. After sledding we were all in the living room and Pastor Micah told me to go get a pregnancy test. I didn't want to because we had been disappointed 3 times before and I didn't want that to happen again. But none the less I went to the Family Dollar store and purchased a pregnancy test for $7.99. Luke and I then headed back to Pastor Micah's house to await the news. We were in the living room watching Sports center and Angel (Pastor Micah's wife) and Tiffany (Luke's wife) advised us that three minutes were up.
Misty told them that she wasn't going to look because she didn't want to be disappointed. Tiff and Angel walk to the bathroom and the next thing we hear was "CONGRATULATIONS!!" My first response was yeah right and Misty's was pretty much the same. They told us that they were serious and showed us the test. Misty was laughing and I started crying.
At that moment there were so many thoughts that went through my head. Will I be a good dad? Am I ready to be a dad? (At that point it was too late :-D) Needless to say that three months into being a father I am the happiest I have ever been and I thank God everyday for my baby girl Paige (Servant Of God) McKenna (Sent By Jehovah) and she makes coming home from work worthwhile.
